Job Responsibilities

* This member of the engineering team will be responsible for designing and building new functionality, and improving existing functionality, on the Flex-based user interface of Adap.tv´s existing web-based console
* Ideally, this engineer will do both client-side (Flex, ActionScript) and server-side (Java, MySQL) development.
* Will collaborate closely with product managers, user experience designers, other software engineers, and the QA team in the design and implementation process

* Ideal candidate would have experience in all aspects of developing Flex web applications: from the client (Flex/ActionScript, HTML/CSS, User Interface Design and Implementation) to the back end (Java, MySQL database).
* The candidate must be proficient in object oriented methodologies with demonstrable experience in all stages of application development life cycle, from requirements-gathering and brainstorming, analysis, coding, testing and documentation.
* Solid understanding and a number of years experience in developing interactive applications using Adobe Flex is a must
* Strong ActionScript programming experience for interface elements
* Experience with Java and working with Java engineers is a big plus
* Experience with MySQL or any other database
* Knowledge of HTTP, RTMP protocols, NetConnection and NetStream, displaying and controlling video and audio in flash/flex applications.
* Extensive experience developing rich Internet applications
* Motivation and ability to work effectively with minimal instruction and supervision; willingness and ability to multitask and switch context when necessary
* Ability to design and develop software modules both independently and with other members of the product development team
