Job Title: Sr. SW Test Developer/Release engineer using Perl or C++
Term: one year
Job Description:
Our client is an established chip company located in Sunnyvale. They are seeking a senior Consultant to develop Test Software using Perl or C++ or Python.
Specific Duties include:
• Development of Test Software using the Perl or C++ or Python programming language. The test software shall test Company´s extensions to the industry standard "gclient" source code revision control system tool.
• Develop fully automated regression testcases to confirm that hnd_gclient correctly produces sparse checkouts that are equivalent to Company´s in-house "sparse" tool.
• Develop fully-automated regression testcases to confirm that hnd_gclient correctly checks-out non-trunk tags from Git repositories.
• Enhance hnd_gclient with support for checking-out Git tags.
• Port hnd_gclient to native Windows (non-cygwin).
• Develop automated tests of Company´s customized tool hnd_sparse2gc.
• Enhance build and release scripts to check-out software using hnd_gclient instead of "sparse".
• Document certain specific release engineering workflows on the engineering twiki.
• Develop front-end python scripts to automate these workflows in the hnd_gclient configuration "Dependencies" files, including:
• Validating that a project is fully pinned.
• Converting a software project from floating/unpinned to pinned.
• Prototyping of industry-standard Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins or Electric Commander, as assigned).
• Demonstrate continuous integration of Linux NIC products
• Add Windows NICs
• Add MAcOS NICS
• Add Linux 2.4 routers
• Add BSD routers
• Add Linux 2.6 routers
• Add Media devices
• Add DHD
• Tune blame lists
Required Skills:
Senior level Perl or C++ or Python programming skills.
