I hope to see you this Wednesday for a special KIT List (and friends!) informal meet-up to meet great people, share job tips and career ideas, get encouraged and have some fun.
Hear from the Experts! Job Search Tips and Traps Panel at 7:00 p.m.:
We're also having a panel of experts who will share their insights on the mistakes people make in their job search that they may not even realize, plus the advanced job search strategies that will increase their success in finding a job.
FriendWorking 6:00 - 7:00 and after the panel until 9:00 p.m.:
Before the panel, we'll have some "FriendWorking" to help everyone mix and share in the spirit of helping each other. Since networking can seem a bit calculated, the FriendWork idea is much more personal. You just come with the attitude of giving and helping others -- whether you are looking for a job or you're looking to hire someone -- and it turns what could be an uncomfortable experience into something enjoyable and positive. Hey, a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet!
There is NO CHARGE for this event, but you will need to pay for your own drinks or food directly to Bistro 412.
Also, we will collect a voluntary donation at the door of $10 (or whatever amount you wish) for the Red Cross to benefit the San Bruno fire victims. With the generous spirit of the people on the KIT List, this would be a nice way to help our neighbors who were struck by this tragedy.
