Position Title: Project Manager

The founders are dedicated to community building entertainment centric web services. The Company is a fairly stealthy early stage startup backed by top-ranked VCs, leads by successful industry veterans, and in immediate need of creative and technical talent from the social networking, online and computer game industry. The successful candidate will join a team of talented, driven, self starting, passionate engineers and artists who are dedicated to product development as a career and as art.

We are looking for an individual who will exhibit an intuitive sense of efficiency and software aesthetics. As with any early stage company, this person should be willing and able to regularly absorb new information and adapt to change. This individual should be comfortable with abstraction and isolation of software components, serving quality and simplicity first.
We are looking for someone with a strong sense of ownership for their work including high quality and meeting predetermined requirements. In addition to a strong commitment to the current projects, this individual should have motivation for ongoing self-improvement, education, learning, evolving and maintaining best practices as they evolve.

Job Responsibilities:
• Fulfill the role of the ScrumMaster or Scrumban master and be the leader of the Agile process. Make sure the Lean-Agile process is implemented effectively and consistently. Provide coaching and training at the team, department, and company levels to maximize its benefits.
• Coordinate the team(s) towards on-time delivery of critical projects and programs. Coordinate the process to promote delivery of interim releases.
• Work with management to facilitate release planning and clear requirements prior to delivery to the development team. Facilitate prioritization methods.
• Bring clarity, cohesiveness, transparency, organization, and accountability to projects involving a single team or to projects involving multiple teams or departments. Lean focus on mitigating the risks associated with a project by revealing problems and facilitating their solution.
• Get consensus on policies around development practices and make sure these are communicated and applied consistently.
• Lead initiatives toward quality-oriented engineering practices.
• Manage the wiki, electronic tracking systems and other information radiators that support the development work and provide transparency for better strategic direction.

Job Qualifications:
• Strong SDLC management in particular 3+ years with AGILE/SCRUM/XP development, Scrum Master Certification - CSM required. Lean-Agile management experience is desired but will train the right person who has interest and familiarity with lean concepts.
• Excellent communications skills and strong problem-solving skills.
• Game industry and/or social networking experience preferred.
• Must thrive in complex, fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience acting decisively and making sound and timely decisions in the face of uncertainty and with limited information.
Additional Skills
-Ability to work within a structured development environment and follow practices as they mature.
-Experience in Scrum, Kanban or other Agile project managements frameworks
