Senior Software Engineer
Hooked Media Group is a well funded, (Altos and USVP ventures) small, software firm who has successfully developed a platform (Yoomee) to accommodate the playing of competitive games on a variety of devices and environments. Hooked Media Group was founded with the vision of creating a gaming platform that enables players, developers, web publishers and advertisers to embed, play and earn with games. We´re looking for someone who:
Loves to work as an integral part of a casual (but intense!) team
Thrives on challenging problems
Likes to work on all aspects of a feature, from client-side JavaScript to stored procedures
Wants the freedom to truly make a difference in a product
Enjoys debating the merits of dependency injection over lunch
Responsibilities:
Candidates should have a solid experience developing web applications utilizing Web 2.0 technologies. Experience with Facebook/OpenSocial development platforms and application scalability is a huge plus. You will be joining a team that is committed to creating high quality code under the Microsoft ASP.NET/MVC environment. Your key responsibility will involve development on our gaming platform while working closely with the product team.
Skills:
Minimum: Masters degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
5+ years of software development experience.
Experience with all of the following: C# 3.0, ASP.NET, WCF, JavaScript (jQuery, cross browser, etc.) and HTML.
Strong understanding of relational databases - SQL Server.
Production experience in one or more web development projects (using ASP.NET/LAMP/RoR).
Passion for software development with strong emphasis towards client and server architecture.
Excellent in teamwork and ability to handle multiple tasks and communication.
Versant in Automated tests, agile software development, SOA, MVC.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience with Caching frameworks, Application scalability, and Social network platforms (such as Facebook, OpenSocial) a plus.
