Location : San Jose,CA
Duration :6 months - 1 year
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* At least 5 years of experience in managing large size operations /
* infrastructure projects
* PMP certification is desirable
* Experience with leading the team of infrastructure architects, DBAs
and Systems Administrators
* Knowledge of data center planning, database planning, disaster
recovery planning, cutover planning and hardware / server capacity planning
* Experience in coordinating with hardware and software vendors
* Understanding of concepts of high availability, clustering, load
balancing etc
* Knowledge of various backup and recovery solutions
* Experience in project managing large-scale and enterprise projects
required. Prefer experience with large Internet, web-based projects.
* Experience in problem solving, process improvement methods, and
business re-engineering methodologies
* Proven track record in process definition and improvement
initiatives.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in project management process; knowledge of project
management software tools, templates and management techniques.
* Advocate of project management discipline and practices, Project
Management Office experience a plus.
* Ability to work with and communicate to teams to create and modify
project plans and resource schedules.
* Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills required.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts and plans.
* Experience in gathering requirements from users and facilitating the
creation of technical requirements and specifications.
* In-depth experience with MS Project to build and maintain project
plans.
* Demonstrated attention to detail through project management related
work. Tracking and attention to detail are critical in this role.
* Able to plan and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
* Keen to learn and adopt new technology and principles.
* Superb analytical skills: both technical and process improvement
oriented.
* Able to work both independently and as a team member.
* Able to independently drive projects through to completion
* Analytical and have good problem solving skills Ability to achieve
project goals in a fast paced environment with multiple conflicting
priorities
