This is your opportunity to inventing the next generation technology for Atomic Force Microscopy. The successful candidate will be part of a team working on breakthrough technology, building integrated hardware and software solutions for our customers. This is a high visibility role, building new capabilities and technologies that will extend Leadership in this market. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of experienced engineers in a highly creative environment. The chosen individual will be responsible for development and test of code, working in close coordination with team members.

In addition you will:

• Deliver and meet critical project deadlines
Design, develop, and debug features on our core software
• Work independently as well as in teams to accomplish the business objectives

Job Qualifications:

Educated to at least university degree level, you´ll also have 5+ years´ practical R&D experience.

Each prospective candidate must at a minimum be able to answer yes to the following questions:

Have you developed device drivers for linux ?
Did those drivers support interrupts?
Do you have significant experience in developing multithreaded/multitasking code?

In addition to the above, the successful applicant must have:

• Significant experience with Linux driver development
• Low level programming including DMA transfer and interrupt handling
• Experience with concurrent programming and inter-process communication
• Demonstrated ability to develop multi-threaded applications
• Experience programming in C# and C
• Ability to produce a board support package

Preference will be given to those candidates that also have:

• Ability to write efficient implementations of numerical algorithms.
• Experience with data structures for buffering and storing image data.
• Familiarity with WPF programming.
• Experience with .NET data transmission protocols, ability to recommend and implement protocols for communicating efficiently and reliability both binary image data and system metadata over LAN.
• History of developing software for analytical instrumentation.
