As a member of the engineering team, you will work on projects to improve the Core Engine functionality of PEGARules Process Commander. As a Software Engineer, you will be a scrum team member in a fast-paced, collaborative agile development environment. This is a great opportunity for junior engineer to grow their skills & career by gaining valuable hands on experience in all areas of software development.
Responsibilities:
* Translate designs into an implementation using Java, J2EE based technologies and Pegasystems Process Commander Rules
* Work collaboratively with team members to design, develop, test & document feature
* Follow a test driven development methodology to ensure consistently high quality software
Key Result Areas:
* Collaboratively work in a scrum team environment to drive features to completion and a shippable state
* Work under direction to identify and resolve important bugs expeditiously
* Delivery high quality products, on schedule
Functional Expertise:
* 2 - 5 years experience in J2EE based enterprise server side development
* Strong Object Oriented design skills
* Strong Algorithms and Data Structures knowledge
* Significant experience in Java
* Experience working with some different J2EE technologies, EJB, JMS, JDBC, Servlets, JMX, Web Services etc.
* Web application development experience with any leading framework (e.g. Struts, GWT, Rails) is a plus
* Experience with Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, and/or JBoss application servers
* RDMS experience with Oracle or MySql, etc
* Performance tuning of Java and Web based applications
* Experience working with PRPC, BPM, CRM or Workflow products is a plus
