Job Title: Sr. Software Developer/Embedded Platform Team

Job Description:
Our client is a start-up located in Santa Clara. Their niche is mobile network architecture. They are seeking a Senior software developer who will be responsible for development and maintenance of real-time embedded software. Your responsibilities will include the design and development of new features and maintenance of existing features on the Company SW platform.
Specific Duties include:
Design, document, implement, and unit-test of drivers and platform software.
Developing hardware abstraction layers and API's.
Developing platform features and subsystems, for example IPC, logging, process management, and memory management.
Writing software specifications.
Help hardware engineers isolate hardware problems.
Work with QA and manufacturing team to help ensure a high quality product.
Required Skills:
BS/MS
7 - 12 years experience working on and supporting networking equipment.
Experience with various RTOS like QNX, RT Linux, or VxWorks.
Experience with C language programming.
Experience with processors such as ARM, Cavium, and PowerPC.
Ability to read hardware specifications and work with the hardware team.
Ability to design, document, and implement software features in embedded networking products.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
Experience with BSPs and board provisioning/bring-up.
Previous experience developing software for embedded networking products.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Cavium products (Nitrox or Octeon).
