Senior UI Developer - (Recruiting Solutions)
About the Role
The Recruiting product is a critical component of the SuccessFactors Enterprise SaaS product offering, providing the core aspects of hiring, interviewing and on-boarding. It is built on a cutting edge Web 2.0 UI framework and the latest and greatest back-end and search technologies. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and building performing applications spanning different paradigms, use cases and technologies to enable the successful implementation of this application.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with a team to develop rich user interfaces for enterprise class SaaS applications.
• Developing Web 2.0 applications utilizing Java, Seam, XHTML, AJAX, DHTML/JavaScript
• Write quality, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Drive for consistent user interaction by consolidating on common components.
• Work directly with customers, sales, support and product management to help determine and solve the customer needs of our hosted Business Execution Software.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any type) or a related field
• 5 years of experience with programming software UIs for enterprise web-based software applications in Java/J2EE,Web Services, OOD, on top of Oracle
• High level of proficiency with XHTML, DHTML, JavaScript and AJAX.
• Proficiency with Java and J2EE.
• Experience with JBoss, Seam preferred.
• Proficiency with JSP and Java Servlets
• Hands-on experience in full software development cycle
• Professional skills: ability to work independently and with a team.
• Able to understand and master new technologies quickly.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Able to quickly understand and solve unique and undocumented programming problems.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies
• Must be energetic and self-starting.
• Experience with open-source AJAX/DHTML frameworks, such as YUI and DWR a plus, but not required.
• Experience in CSS a plus, but not required.
• Experience in Hibernate and/or SQL is a plus, but not required.
