Appcelerator is looking for technical leader to manage and develop our growing support team. As the Development Support Manager, you will lead a highly technical team of developers who provide remote, onsite and ticketing support to our customers. We are highly customer-focused and you will be expected to infuse this value throughout the team, systems and processes that you are responsible for leading.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2-4 years of management experience, but we will consider grooming a lead or other senior technical staff into this role if they can demonstrate the necessary leadership traits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Building and leading team of 10+ highly technical development engineers.
Working with the Professional Services, Sales, QA, and Platform Engineering teams to ensure that they are in sync with what is happening in the field with our customers.
Manage and continuously improve customer management systems, to include ticketing, FAQ´s, customer knowledgebase and customer blogs; develop and maintain others as necessary.
Continuously measure and improve our customer satisfaction metrics
Creatively solve common support startup challenges - multiple time zones, off/near-shore resources, immature processes, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Hands-on leader
Development/programming experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, C++. Java, C#, or similar.
Love working directly with customers. Passionate about solving customer problems.
Metrics drive & results-oriented
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to think out of the box to resolve customer issues and assist in solutions.
Ability to develop, manage and report quality metrics on an ongoing basis.

Mobile experience
Open source developer experience
Titanium experience
