Director of Verification and DFT
We are currently seeking a Director of Verification and Design For Test (DFT) for our Mixed Signal and Array IP. With a comprehensive understanding of overall business objectives, the Design Director will drive verification and DFT methodology, participate in AMD´s technical councils, grow and manage the teams in both NA and India, and drive the execution of the verification and DFT deliverables.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead multiple worldwide verification and DFT teams and work along with other design and development teams to ensure successful tapeout of programs with flawless execution that enables volume production that meet market demands.
• Lead the team that defines and executes verification and DFT methodology ensuring first pass success of AMD´s products and reducing Time To Market (TTM) in support of business objectives in a dynamic market
• Attract, select, coach and motivate a global, multi-site team that will execute to a high standard of quality
• Proactively recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness, competitiveness and manufacturability.
• Responsible to develop, maintain, and adhere to financial goals and objectives
• Ensure the cooperation and coordination between other departments.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and measurements to improve quality and bottom-line profitability
• Utilize internal customer feedback to improve team performance and enhance deliverables.
Requirements:
• The ideal candidate will have 10 years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry with a proven track record of successfully building and delivering complex products.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams of 30+ employees over a development processes and lifecycles for medium-scale projects
• Experience with building, motivating, and mentoring teams
• Demonstrated success managing global, multi-location development teams
• Passion for delivering high quality products
• Driven to achieve a high level of customer/partner satisfaction
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with cross-functional teams from multiple departments
• Systematic thinking skills. Ability to deal with novel problems from different perspectives and from different levels of abstraction
• Ability to analyze and understand complex workflows and processes, and develop innovative approaches to streamlining and automating them
• Organized and detail oriented. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to resolve scheduling and other conflicts in order to meet all deadlines
