Senior Web Apps Engineer/Senior Software Engineer (LAMP)

Senior. LAMP Software Engineer driven by the challenge of solving unique and often hard, technical problems in a compressed time frame while keeping in mind the requirements of the business and the user experience.
You need to be an Experienced, Creative professional who is driven by the challenge of solving unique, difficult problems in a compressed time frame. You never lose sight of the requirements of the business or our traveler experience. You will want to play a crucial role in the creation of a web service that will eventually be used by a large population of North America and ultimately globally.
Required Skills/Experience
· 6 to 8 years of related professional software development experience
· Server-side application development experience with PHP required
· Additional experience with Python and/or Perl and/or Ruby is preferred
· Strong experience with Client-side application development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
· Significant professional experience with SQL and development of database-backed web applications
· Strong knowledge of one or more relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle)
· Solid understanding of memcache
· Experience with and enthusiasm for working in Agile environments preferred
· Experience developing technical design documentation and participating in a technical design and code peer review process
· Natural problem-solver and troubleshooter
· Comfortable working in a GNU Linux/Unix environment
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· BSCS, BSEE, or equivalent years of work experience
