Front End PHP Web Developer

Client Company is introducing a Smart Vertical Search Engine integrated with a hyper-local Social Network to transform a strategic consumer facing vertical application. Company has a strong proven team. Its culture is highly innovative and its products are focused on leveraging Social and Search to make a dramatic positive impact on people around where they live. The product is a Neighborhood Social Network/Bulletin Board/Googlish/Real Estate Engine, sort of a blend of CraigsList/LinkedIn/Facebook. The Company is going live with its beta shortly.

Seeking a proven Web Application Developer with very strong PHP coding experience. Ideal candidates will have exposure to Zend Framework to lead our Social Product Engineering. We have a Vertical Social Network Application integrated with Facebook, Twitter and others. We're looking for someone to lead the next releases. Ideally would have 2 to 4 years of direct Social Networks Application Development/Integration experience and who can lead all Social Engineering (widgets, leveraging social platforms, expand feature set, etc). Company pays a very competitive base, bonus, stock options (very strong upside).

Required Skills

- 3+ years building web applications using PHP.
- Expertise in HTML/CSS, Javascript and JQuery.
- Experience coding for multiple browsers.
- Experience creating public facing interactive web sites.
- Experience creating Facebook Connect or Facebook applications is a plus.
- Experience with MVC frameworks is a plus.
- Familiar with Java/Spring is a plus.
- BSCS or requivalent.

Responsibilities

- Create fully interactive web interfaces from UI illustrations and design concepts.
- Work with back end developers to define APIs for front end development.
- Test or verify completed work to meet product requirements.
- Ability to work independently with a relentless drive to get things done.
- Comfortable working in a small agile team.
