Provides portfolio and project management for a wide range of cloud technologies and infrastructure. Plays an active role in facilitating and championing initiatives and projects to meet Center for Innovation business objectives and goals.
Functional tasks include the following:
1) Active leadership in defining objectives, charters, metrics, processes, and delivery
2) Manage technical projects from concept through completion
3) Deliver solutions that satisfy customer requirements, including project lifecycle management, budgeting, and TTO (Transfer To Operations)
4) Adhere to high standards in delivering superior performance and in resolving highly critical issues within matrix organizations
The successful candidate MUST have the following:
1) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of related project management experience in a software organization
2) Experience developing, managing, and operating software in the cloud (ie. building and managing a web service)
3) Familiarity with and understanding of software development life cycle using agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Evo, Open Unified Process)
4) Familarity with and ability to apply organizational, planning and project management skills
5) Familiarity with distributed computing, building web applications at internet scale, virtualization, cloud computing and monitoring (system, database, network, security, virtualized resources).
The successful candidate SHOULD have the following:
1) Ability to demonstrate a solutions delivery approach that brought high value to serviced business organizations
2) Ability to facilitate cross-functional remote teams
3) Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills including negotiation skills.
4) Demonstrated customer service focus, with the ability to communicate with highly technical management
5) Ability to effectively work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
6) Experience with compliance of the industry standards and requirements.
