Application Developer (Social- Mobile)
We are looking for a mobile app and game developer with desktop application development experience to join our small, tight-knit team building consumer-facing entertainment software.
This core engineer will design and build new apps and games as well as update, modify and maintain existing ones. The apps will be created for one or more of the following platforms: iOS and Android mobile and tablet devices, Windows desktop, Mac OSX desktop, Linux (Ubuntu).
The apps will be media-rich experiences with features such as user-generated content, audio and video processing, community interaction, location-based features, augmented reality, interactive manipulation of 2D and 3D graphics, etc. Game designs will include resource management, in-app purchasing, networked multiplayer, match-making, etc.
General Requirements
• BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Well-rounded engineer with excellent architecture and development skills
• Experience designing and implementing multi-media, audio and video processing applications
• Flexible and personable while being able to perform under occasional short development cycles
Core Skills
• 6+ years as a Software Developer
• 2+ years of iOS development for iPhone and iPad
• 2+ years of Android development for tablet devices and phones
• 2+ years developing games using a game development engine such as Unity.
• 3+ years of development of interactive multimedia Windows and MacOSX desktop apps
• 3+ years of experience of graphics processing engines, OpenGL, ffmpeg, etc.
• Self-motivated, fast learner, excellent communication skills
Bonus Skills
• Flash ActionScript, timeline, and AIR development
• Familiarity interfacing with MySQL, Java middleware, RESTful services
• Familiarity interfacing with HTML/CSS/Javascript/JQuery
