Job Responsibilities
Participation in design, implementation, & evolution of company´s systems, interpretation, analysis, knowledge representation, & other key technologies
Collaboration with other engineers & with operations to deliver scalable, robust, & high-performance systems
Solution of hard problems
Required Skills
5+ years exp writing Perl (or Python, with the ability to work with a substantial Perl codebase)
5+ years exp with object-oriented dev
Deep understanding of & modern web protocols & development practices
Ability to work alone & in small teams to deliver critical infrastructure
Aversion to technical debt
Desired Skills
Practical exp with distributed computing & clustering architectures
Practical exp with development on Unix
Practical exp with database design
Broad & deep knowledge of Perl or Python & commonly used modules
Facility with puns
