Cisco seeks a Technical Leader (Senior Software Engineer) who have a passion and drive to define, design, build, and deliver product(s) in scalable data center software solutions enabling IaaS (Infrastructure as a cloud) capabilities.

Unified Computing System (UCS) is a new series of innovative products which were recently launched in the marketplace by Cisco (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9670/index.html) that are transforming the data centers for Enterprise, Service Providers, ASPs and Cloud Computing Service Providers. UCS is driving consolidation and convergence of virtualized switching, storage, and server infrastructure capabilities.

Opportunity Snapshot:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of technologies including Virtualization, system management software development of storage, networking, and cutting edge computing technologies.
In addition, you may also lead one or more subcomponents of the architecture, participate in cross-functional teamwork and experience all facets of the software development cycle from innovation, marketing requirement to product delivery.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will help design, develop and deliver system management product(s) with a scalable infrastructure to deploy virtualized services (server, storage and network) .

The right candidate must demonstrate professional software development skills as below.

Experience Level: (7 - 10 years)

Required Skills:

. BS in Computer Science is required, MSCS/CE is preferred
. Seven plus years of C++ programming/development experience in Linux platform environment
. Strong object-oriented design, UML modeling and programming expertise
. XML infrastructure experience
. Experience with meta-model driven systems
. Multi-tier application development
. Experience developing management systems (network management, systems management, datacenter automation)
. Database design and transactional systems

Desired Skills:
. Experience/understanding of policy-driven systems
. Experience with distributed data systems
. Experience with code-generation systems
. Experience with VM Management

You will champion new methodologies and create scalable software solutions that interact with widely deployed Internet products, thereby touching an endless number of users worldwide. Typically requires MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 7 - 10 yrs related experience.
