[KITlist-Tech] CONTR: User Experience Designer (San Jose, CA)

We are looking for a seasoned User Experience Designer contractor for a client opportunity at a large, high technology company. This is a role in the client's Unified Management solutions for cloud computing. Ensuring an optimal user experience/usability throughout the solutions is a key success factor of the client's solution strategy. This is a 40 hour per week, 6 month role at the client's offices in San Jose, CA.

We are looking for an accomplished UX professional with real-world experience and understanding of the challenges of designing simple, usable, and elegant enterprise cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:
•Develop groundbreaking user experience for the client's next generation cloud solution.
•Develop process flows, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes and other artifacts to effectively communicate design concepts to engineering.
•Ensure the application of UX processes within the product development process including gathering user feedback and performing usability testing.
•Effectively communicate with product managers and developers throughout product implementation to realize design vision.
•Develop design guidelines and standards to ensure consistency among product features and a cohesive approach across the solution.
•Support for browser experiences and ADA compliance

Requirements:
•7+ years of proven UI design experience producing engaging, usable, and effective design solutions.
•Must have the ability to grasp abstract, complicated concepts and translate them to application designs.
•A degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or similar field related to Human-Computer Interaction is desired.
•Knowledgeable about user experience best practices and user-centered design, passionate about the latest trends in interactive design, and a strong desire for innovation.
•Experience collaborating with product managers and engineering on defining and implementing user interfaces and interaction designs.
•Comfortable working with different functional teams, leading new design efforts and driving consensus for proposed approaches.
•Organized, self-directed and comfortable working with on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
•Demonstrated experience conducting user research and translating results into design rationale.
