Title: Senior Engineer
Description:
Smart Monitor is looking for a senior engineer with hands-on engineering experience in embedded software and hardware. The job involves:
- Product development on embedded systems (mostly software/firmware; and some
- hardware specification and coordination)
- Product Management tasks (with various remote teams)
- Product testing and diagnostics
- Technical support to internal product development teams and current customers
- Sales support & demos for new custome
- Demonstrating product at tradeshows and to targeted user and advocacy groups.
Product:
- Smart Monitor's product is a small device that closely interacts with 3 components:
- A compact embedded device with built in sensors and Bluetooth/Wifi wireless communication
- Mobile Phone Application (Communication with and special application on Android and iPhone)
- Cloud based back end data services
Experience and skills in these areas, will be useful.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering/Computer Science
- Experience with embedded systems & firmware– TI & ARM processors, LINUX
- environment – a must
- 5-7 years of experience in developing and troubleshooting embedded systems software
- (and hardware)
- Experience working with development & support teams
- Self-starter that can come up to speed very quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Additional skills preferred (1) BlueTooth/wireless experience (2) TI MSP430 (3) Small consumer or medical devices
