MindSource specializes in placing technology professionals with companies in the Silicon Valley Region. We are looking for a contract project manager to help drive a web content management initiative. The role will work closely with worldwide web development teams to understand current process and requirements, and the technical implementers. This person will also manage smaller projects entirely within the web team where other tools and process needs to be addressed.
Location: CUPERTINO, CA
Contract Duration: 6-12 months+
You'll be involved in requirements, technical design reviews, testing and more; the position requires a hands-on, get-the-job-done, attitude. You understand the theory of project management principles, but even better, you know how to adapt them to the situation at hand. You're a fan of process, but only the right amount. You understand and drive issues to conclusion. And you're a great communicator, even the people you pester like having you on the team.
Responsibilities
Drive technical aspects of web systems projects.
Gather and document technology requirements for technical evaluation and solution design.
Develop and manage implementation schedules.
Collaborate with creative and technical teams, other groups where dependencies exist, and global users as needed.
Evaluate, manage, and improve system workflow to streamline the web development and publishing process.
Qualifications
At least 4 years of project management in web development.
Expert project management skills for technical projects with the ability to adapt techniques to fit circumstances.
Self-starter, self-motivated, self-directed, self-sufficient.
Committed to excellence. With an outstanding attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communicator, with great interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of end-to-end web technologies.
Solid experience managing requirements in fast paced and changing environments.
Fanatical about creating order from disorder. Understand the "right" level of process to apply to new situations.
Pluses: web content management experience, web-programming knowledge., understanding of digital asset management.
Requires a Bachelors Degree with 4+ years project management experience demonstrating increasing levels of project management responsibilities in a complex enterprise or marketing environment.
