Support Engineer

Fluid is searching for a Support Engineer to act as the primary technical expert within the support organization for our Fluid Retail product suite. Fluid Retail provides leading online retailers like The North Face, Nine West, Reebok and Wag.com with a wide variety of merchandising tools including rich imaging, product configuration and social-enabled commerce. At Fluid, you will be responsible for collaborating with our customer support staff to identify and resolve technical issues. You have a technical background, thrive on making things right and use creative thinking to delight customers. The responsibilities of a support engineer include:
• Diagnose and resolve customers' software problems
• Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow-up on customer issues as well as replicate and document for further escalation.
• Report bugs to the QA and development teams
• Improve our support materials, including documentation and demos
• Assist with product implementations

Required Skills
• Experience authoring valid modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with the capabilities, limitations and peculiarities of popular browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Safari and operating systems such as Mac, PC, iOS, Android, and Blackberry.
• Experience with browser development tools like Charles, Firebug, and the Chrome Developer Tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work directly with customers to solve complex issues.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. Excellent at multitasking

Desired Skills
• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries especially jQuery
• Ability to read and write JSON and XML content
• Knowledge of programming languages like php and Java
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), especially S3, CloudFront, EC2, and RDS
• Comfort with Ubuntu Linux and SSH
• Experience with file transfer mechanisms like FTP, SFTP, and rsync
• Experience in ecommerce and digital marketing
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 2 years of technical work experience
