MindSource specializes in placing technology professionals with companies in the Silicon Valley Region. We have an immediate need for a C++ SOFTWARE DEVELOPER with one of our clients´ in MILPITAS, CA. This is a CONTRACT POSITION for 6 months +.
C++ Software Developer
Required skill set
• 3+ years of overall software development experience
• Solid experience with C++ and C programming.
• Strong networking and protocol experience
• Unix (Solaris, Linux, etc.) system development: Inter-process communication: sockets, pipes, shared memory multithreading: thread start/finish, mutexes, condition variables;
• Experience with software configuration management tools such as ClearCase
Desired skill set
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as SSH SMTP, POP3, MMS, FTP, SFTP.
• Good knowledge of compiler and makefiles with experience of porting from Sparc platform to X86 platform under Solaris is a big plus
• Knowledge of scripting language like tcl or expect
