Network QA Test Engineer
Location: Belmont, Ca
Job Summary:
The Network QA engineer is responsible for all stages of the quality assurance
process. This person should have an in-depth understanding of IP
networking technology and protocols. A zest and love for technology, and
a demonstrated ability to learn new things will be a key element in this
environment, since the QA Engineer will be working with an exciting
combination of networking, security, cloud computing, and virtualization
environments.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- MS/CS degree or equivalent
- 3+ yrs technical exp in the area of computer networks, data networking, product support or testing. Exp with lab & test equipment such as SmartBits traffic generator desirable but not required.Prior exp configuring & testing routing protocols.
- Exp & knowledgein IP routing protocols networking: OSPF, BGP, IPv4, IPv6, VPN, TCP, UDP, Firewall, NAT, IDS/IPS, SNMP
- Knowledge of Linux(debian, Ubuntu), Virtualization, C, scripting languages (at least one from Javascript, TCL, or Perl)
- Proficiency creating & executing test cases
Responsibilities
-Participate in Product Requirements & Functional Specifications
-Define test plans & test cases for functional, performance, & system testing
- Perform manual testing & automate test execution
- Record & track product defects
-Recreate customer-reported defects to clarify problem definitions.
