ICG is looking for talented Bachelors, Masters or PhD students to fill intern positions within our company.

ICG´s current Tech Writers have strong writing skills, enjoy working on a team in a fast-paced environment and have the technical expertise to understand and explain complex technical concepts to audiences of all technical levels.

Candidates must be able to work closely with engineers and other writers, gather information from specifications, subject-matter experts, and pre-release software, create documentation designs, plans and schedules, and meet tight deadlines.

Must be an excellent writer dedicated to delivering high quality documentation.

Responsibilities (may include):

- Document APIs and testing tools, including release notes, user guides, and man pages for a technical audience

- Work with engineering staff to develop and write technical documentation

- Firm understanding of the basics of networking, storage and server connectivity

- Work with sample programs created by the engineering team to illustrate product features and concepts, and create your own sample programs if time permits

- Conduct technical reviews with the appropriate engineering, QA, and product management teams

- Research topics to be documented based on information from a variety of sources (engineering, QA, external documentation, and so on)

Requirements:

- Technical writers pursuing a BS/BA

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to create plans and schedules and meet deadlines

- Familiarity with the software development process

- Must enjoy working with new technology in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to read code a plus

- API documentation experience is a plus
