Blade Server QA Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA

Description:

You will be part of Cisco SAVBU team. Work also involves providing constant feedback to hardware and software teams for improvements.
Write test plans, execute test cases independently. Contribute to automation scripting.

Required Skills/Experience:
* BS CS/EE degree and 5 plus years of strong hands-on testing with enterprise servers, preferably blade servers;
* In-depth knowledge of blade server chassis power, cooling, and management;
* Strong background and experience in software testing methodology, test development and test execution.

Highly desirable Skills/Experience:
* Hands-on experience with embedded Linux systems testing;
* Experience in chassis thermal and power management testing;
* Understanding of IPMI is a plus;
* Proficient programming in at least one scripting language (TCL, Perl, Python, etc.).

Personal Characteristics:
* Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage competing high priority tasks.
* Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others, and have fun!
* Independent, accountable, strong sense of ownership, assertive, communicative, accountable, sense of urgency, and flexible and adaptable.
* BSCS or MSCS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or other relevant field
