Description:
Software AG is seeking a Research & Development Project Manager who will work with internal parties to organize components of a major project under the leadership of the Senior R&D Project Manager. Duties will include coordination of schedules, tracking progress, and reporting results. The Project Manager will also serve as the primary point of contact for all communications related to the project, and responsible for executing the internal project communication plan.
- Direct and manage planning and delivery of major and minor software releases
- Develop project plans and associated communications documents
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Work with internal groups to facilitate integration with other projects
- Follow-up on risks, issues, action items related to projects
- Liaise and manage expectations with stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- Drive the maintenance of organization and release information
Requirements:
- B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering related field
- Exposure to Scrum/Kaban
- 2 years professional experience
- Ability to document and communicate process, goals, milestones, plans, clear concise manner
- Flexible during times of change.
- Skilled in working with managers, directors and executives
- Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
- Willingness to work with cross-functional team members in U.S., Europe and India
- Capable of leading and owning area of responsibility, but willing to learn and take direction and coaching
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
- Technically competent with project management software
- Ability to work in a fast-pace, dynamic environment; able to handle change on a frequent basis
- Ability to develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
- Ability to work and communicate well with a geographically distributed team
- Creative, energetic, motivated
