Looking to hire a Senior Java Developer with 6-8+ years of extensive experience with Java J2ee technologies, Web 2.0, CSS, XML , good understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Methodologies, designing Webservices, experience with SQL and WebSphere.
Position: Senior JAVA Developer
Duration: 6~7 months
Location: San Francisco, CA
Essential Job Functions:
This ct position supports a multi-platform application called STAR (Statistics and Reserves). The application is a national application that is used by the client to collect, analyze, and monitor financial data from the nation´s commercial depository institutions. It also provides reserves data and other information back to the depository institutions. The STAR application includes legacy mainframe and Web subsystems. It is being re-engineered to be a completely Web based application using modern components and service oriented architecture.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate must has experience and knowledge in Java, SOA and Restful design, Jersey, JAXB, JAXRS, Web 2.0 technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, JSP.
Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design methodologies and the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Eight years of experience in the IT industry and 5+ years in JAVA based Web Applications development.
Experience in J2EE and Spring framework are also required.
Struts, PL/SQL coding experience is desired.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to provide accurate judgment in design trade off decision.
Should have good communication and user interaction skills.
Technical Environment:
Programming languages: Java/J2EE using Spring/Spring MVC, iBatis, YUI, Ajax and other open source.
Web servers: WebSphere and the IDE is Rapid Application Developer (RAD).
Databases: Oracle 9i/10g
