Business Integration Analyst- Database Integration Los Angeles, CA The ideal candidate needs to have technical aptitude and be self driven to conduct data analysis, data profiling and understand SNE´s data life cycle. Hands-on experience with; Oracle PL/SQL, SQL scripting, comfortable working on non production Unix-Linux environments, creating and maintaining technical artifacts and data driven test case scripts. We are looking for a person who is very solid in analyzing OLTP Systems as source for data integration, modeling for the SNE BI program. Experience with end to end data analysis, extraction, transformation, loading and troubleshooting data anomalies in very large scale Data Warehouse environment.
DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will perform the following and any other tasks as necessary to be successful in this role:
*Support Integration team engaged in data warehouse design & architecture, create integration artifacts and data flow diagrams (e.g., ETL process, ODS, EDW, Data marts).
*Define and Maintain technical requirements & solution artifacts in collaboration Data Integration Solutions Architects.
*Develop process for data profiling, data quality, ELT/ETL and rapid proto-type effort in collaboration BI Business Analysts.
*Support development of specialized reports utilizing Informatica Designer, Data Profiler, Meta Data Manger, B2B Real time monitoring and Qlikview to validate & refine requirements.
*Create self documenting metadata about data types, volumes and growth over time.
*Following data flows from source systems through to reporting (BI end to End touch points for impact analysis) *Determining the cause of complex data issues or anomalies.
*Documenting and monitoring the integration of BI presentation, ETL tools and database layers *Studying new source system datasets, testing and creating test data sets.
*Collaborate with cross functional impact analysis, branching, deployment strategies and check list process.
*Bridge the technical gaps between BI Analysis and Integration engineering team.
*Validate data availability to support measures & metrics based on business rules and source systems
REQUIREMENTS:
*BA/BS Degree or equivalent years of related experience required *3+ years experience working with BI DW ETL Projects.
*3+ years of data analysis, troubleshooting and investigating data discrepancies from Source to Target.
*3+ years Data Impact Analysis, Scripting Development, BI ETL DW Build, Branch, Deployment check supporting BI DW Program.
*Proven ability to be able to dig-in, analyze, discover, learn business rules generating data and processes of packing data to insight for consumption by business users.
*Strong SQL, PL/SQL, analytical thinking, Oracle built-in analysis functions and large volume data processing using ELT/ETL tools.
*Experience with ´Data Centric Issues & Resolution Process´ in a data warehouse environment.
*Hands-on experience in using data profiling, data correlation, data volumetric analysis, assessment of business value of data in a VLDW
