Job Title: Sr. SOFTWARE ENGINEER/IP NETWORKING

Job Description:
Our client is a start-up located in Santa Clara. Their niche is mobile network architecture. They are seeking a Sr. SWE with IP networking experience to add to their team.
Specific Duties include:
Design and development of IP and wireless data networking protocols software subsystems.
Technical lead of policy and session management subsystems including designing innovative solutions for mobile data routing and offloading.
Integration of control plane functions with wireless operators and enterprise configuration and policy databases.
Required Skills:
7+ years experience in embedded C/C++ programming for design and development of communication protocols including stellar debugging skills.
Exceptional understanding and track record in development experience with TCP/IP programming and Linux networking including Netlink sockets and IPC methods.
Hands-on experience with data structures and algorithms optimized for high performance multi-core, network based processors in a packet-processing centric architecture. Understanding of interactions between management, data, and control planes.
Multiple years of experience in setup, usage and design of DNS, DHCP, NAT and related protocols.
Understanding of Radius, Diameter protocols and interfacing to AAA, LDAP and other policy databases.
Experience with VLANs, Policy Based Routing, ACL, QoS and differentiated services.
Knowledge of 3G packet core and UMTS PDP procedures and session management is desired.
Experience working in start-ups.
Ability to take technical ownership across complete software product life cycle and release management with a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive software architecture and design experience.
Must be self motivated and detail oriented engineer who can prioritize work and handle multiple cross functional tasks.
Must be a Team player who is passionate about quality, committed to conducting robust systematic testing to find faults before customer does and ability to work with internal and external customers during QA and IOT in collaborative environment.
Must have solid technical background including ability to interact effectively with a variety of organizations and works well with people.
Must be a self-starter, fast-learner and a problem solver with ability to think architecturally and enjoys multitasking in fast paced environment.
