SDE II - Test - Mobile
We are looking for talented individuals to join us in creating the best digital music customer experience. We develop digital music software that is available on a number of websites and platforms worldwide. Our Android MP3 software is preloaded on most Android phones in the US, including those from Google, HTC, T-Mobile, Motorola, HTC, Samsung, etc. It is also available in the Google Marketplace in Europe. Our Android MP3 software integrates with the following mobile applications: Shazam, Pandora, and Last.fm.
A2Z Development Center Inc. is a subsidiary of Amazon.com Inc. and is located in the heart of the financial district in San Francisco, California. A2Z Development Center, Inc. also develops software for the MP3 store on www.amazon.com.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for testing mobile applications across all the major platforms (Android, Palm, iPhone, Blackberry, etc.).
- Coordinate with partners to deploy our mobile software on new mobile devices.
- Provide technical integration support to new and existing partners.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases.
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts and tools.
- Participate in design and specification reviews to develop test plans.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the product team to prioritize testing execution and report on test execution progress and results.
- Promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices.
- Interact and collaborate with the other development groups at A2Z Development Center, Inc. and affiliated companies.
Requirements:
- Understanding of and experience with SQA methodologies, techniques and approaches.
- Experience testing mobile platforms and browsers, with a focus on Android.
- Ability to manage small projects; organized, independent, and results-oriented.
- Experience working in a related technical integration capacity desirable.
- Experience developing unit tests or applications for Android are highly desirable.
- Good scripting skills and experience in Shell, Perl, or equivalent.
- Experience using Jira, Perforce, Ant or similar tools.
- Team player and willingness to perform testing in other areas as needed.
- Avid user of mobile applications; keeps abreast of latest mobile trends.
- Customer focus and a passion for building great products.
- Superb analytical skills, excellent communication, strong team ethic, and attention to details - be meticulous!
