Job Title: Software Applications Engineer /Embedded WiFi products
Term: perm
Job Description:
Our client is a start up located in San Jose, their niche is embedded WiFi products. They are seeking an experienced Software Applications Engineer to join a fast-paced and highly motivated team. The Software AE will provide support interface to customers in sales and marketing. The successful candidate will help direct the company roadmap decisions and will regularly interface with Company engineering as part of this process. Seeking candidates who are self-motivated and thrive in an environment that values teamwork, results, and creativity.
This position reports to the Technical Marketing Manager.
Specific Duties include:
Successfully work with internal and external sales teams to support customers in order to win designs.
Help develop demo's, reference applications, technical application notes, white papers, datasheets and conduct training for internal and external sales teams.
Assist marketing and engineering to define future products and features in the Company roadmap.
Provide pre and post sales support and drive customer designs into production.
Work alongside sales and marketing team to help communicate customer requirements back to engineering.
Required Skills:
B.S.E.E. degree minimum.
Track record of successful design wins in complex sales environments.
Understand the design win process.
Experience working with customers to debug systems.
Deep experience working in embedded space: 8/16-bit micros.
Previous experience working in a customer facing role.
Fluent in C programming, debugging and device driver development.
Should have experience with system interfaces, including SPI, SDIO, UART.
Experience with a variety of embedded controllers, including 8-bit controllers, ARM7.
Strong familiarity with embedded HW and system design.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage and follow-up on multiple details.
Highly organized.
Desired Skills:
Experience with wireless LAN a plus.
Past hardware experience with RF product debug a plus.
Past experience with embedded OS, such as MicroC-OS, TinyOS. WinCE, embedded Linux a plus.
Strong understanding of wireless technologies with debugging experience in wireless technology a plus.
