Mobile Dev Engineer
We are looking for talented software engineers to join us in revolutionizing the digital music customer experience. We develop digital music software that is available on a number of websites and platforms worldwide. The Android MP3 Store software we develop is preloaded on most Android phones in the US, including those from Google, HTC, T-Mobile, Motorola, HTC, Samsung, etc. It is also available in the Google Marketplace in Europe. The Android MP3 Store software is also accessible through the following mobile applications: Shazam, Pandora, and Last.fm.
A2Z Development Center Inc. is a subsidiary of Amazon.com Inc. and is located in the heart of the financial district in San Francisco, California. A2Z Development Center, Inc. also develops software for the MP3 store on www.amazon.com.
Position Overview:
* You will be responsible for feature development of our Android music application
* You will be developing in Java, relying on world-class service-oriented infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services.
* You will be interacting and cooperating with other developers at A2Z Development Center, Inc. and affiliated companies.
Requirement Experience:
* Passion for building great user interfaces!
* Must possess a thorough understanding of both client and web application architectures, having a firm understanding of software development principles.
* Must have experience developing high-quality, mass market PC or mobile applications. Previous internationalization experience is a plus.
* 5+ years of client software development experience, using Java, C#, or C++
* BS/MS in CS or equivalent.
* A proven ability to learn and adapt to new, complex development environments.
* Superb analytical skills, excellent communication, strong team ethic, and attention to details - be meticulous!
* Prior experience with web development is a big plus (AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash, JSP/PHP/ASP, Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
