Job Title: QA manager/SaaS/RoR

Job Description:
Our client is a well-funded startup located in San Mateo with impressive customer traction. They deliver a first-to-market SaaS product that gives marketers on-demand intelligence on consumer emotion. They are rapidly expanding their team with stellar talent. This Quality Assurance manager will create and execute the processes and systems to ensure quality and trust in the company´s products.
Specific Duties include:
Build the QA process from Day One alongside the developers.
Work closely with development team to create and execute a QA process around our Agile development process.
Work with software engineers to define and implement QA and unit test plans, including dependency analysis, code coverage and use cases.
Coordinate the work of remote QA teams and be responsible for their deliverables.
Be the customer advocate within the core development team.
Proactively look for potential quality issues.
Moderate Technical Reviews and run Root Cause Analysis sessions.
Look for and correct common themes across multiple products that impact quality.
Develop, implement, and drive adoption of improvements in software test.
Engage with customers through telephone or email to understand technical issues.
Required Skills:
Web 2.0/SaaS product experience
Experience working in an Agile development team.
Extensive script writing skills with automated testing tool Selenium.
Cross-browser web application experience
4-6 years experience and BS CS, Math or related degree.
Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Flash and CSS.
Experience with continuous integration desired.
MySQL or other relational database experience.
Experience with bug tracking systems.
High energy, self-motivated, detail-oriented, analytical.
Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Startup experience preferred.
