Job Title: Senior FOCUS Programmer Analyst
Location: San Jose, CA

There is some COMETS automation through some VB code. So any experience with COMETS is a big plus!

Job Description:
• Participate in the implementation, integration and development of new customer support related technologies and provide sustaining support for existing applications.
• Primarily responsible for supporting users of ASK/MANMAN using FOCUS application in an ALPHA/OpenVMS Operating environment. Select and implement 4GL client base tool to facilitate user report selection and creation process and minimize MIS intervention.
• Be able to work with manufacturing, sales, finance, Central Planning and other departments and define the "best methods" practices for FOCUS, ISG Navigator and ASK/MANMAN software efficiency. Provide programming services on various FOCUS, ISG as defined by customer requirements. Play a key role in monitoring, On-Call, measuring application usage, and report generation activities.
• Other preferred included knowledge of creating databases as well as design and implementation, knowledge of Oracle, SQL, VB/VBA, Oracle gateways, NT, UNIX, Data Warehouse techniques and methodology.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with ability to communicate business and technical subjects to business users. Proven experience in extremely high-pressure, deadline-driven work environment.

Education:
BS or equivalent experience
MS in Computer Science or MIS preferred

Technical Skills
3 years experience in ALPHA/OpenVMS environment (ASK/MANMAN is a plus).
5 + years experience in FOCUS (IBI) report writer.
Experienced in ISG Navigator report writing and other 4GL Query tools.
Working knowledge of Programming language (Cobol, FORTRAN, *)

Preferred:
Proven track record of programming in ASK/MANMAN modules
Excellent knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing
Good written and verbal communication skills
