As a member of the Wind River IT applications team, the candidate is a key resource for delivering technology solutions to address business needs. You will be focused on internal customer support and initiatives addressing the needs of the Sales and Marketing organizations. You will work with business teams to analyze systems and process requirements to meet their goals.
This is a functional role (70%) with some technical knowledge (30%) required.
Major Responsibilities:
- Act as a key liaison to Wind River's Sales, Marketing and Partner organizations
- Assist in developing strategy and plans to improve IT alignment with the lines of business
- Participate in the planning, execution, and deployment of enterprise systems and processes
- Manage on-time project delivery and ensure internal customer satisfaction
- Assist with risk assessment and change management
- Define and optimize effective business processes, while minimizing customization within new and existing business applications
- Analyze complex business problems, assess alternatives, and recommend scalable solutions that balance customer needs, business constraints, and technology realities
- Document business requirements and perform gap analysis
- Prepare functional designs, setup and configure applications to meet requirements
- Communicate functional requirements to developers and assist with unit-testing
- Develop appropriate test cases and manage test cycles
- Promote adoption and positive user experiences by preparing training materials and delivering training sessions
- Provide hands-on application support, managing and resolving user service requests
- Work closely with the internal technical team to solve application issues
- Translate functional designs into technical deliverables
- Apply sound release management and configuration management principles to ensure the stability of the production environment
- Create ad-hoc reports, queries, or data extracts, as necessary

- Interface and work with varying levels of the organization, from users to management, in a highly interactive culture
Requirements:
- 5+ years IT experience
- 5-7 years experience, preferably at a global technology company
- Bachelor´s degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- Current experience with enterprise CRM applications plus general knowledge of the CRM industry
- Specific experience on Siebel 7.8 with at least 1 full lifecycle project implementation and experience with Siebel Tools
- Knowledge of Sales and Marketing processes including sales-force automation, pipeline management, forecasting, lead generation, campaign execution, and quoting and proposals.
- Strong business acumen and working knowledge of functional and procedural process modeling methodologies
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication, reporting and presentation skills
- Experience in applying technology solutions to addressing business problems
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and related methodologies
- Knowledge of project management fundamentals and experience running small to medium sized projects
- Working knowledge of Oracle relational databases, PL/SQL, and reporting tools
- Experience in successfully resolving service requests with software vendors
- Ability to understand high-level business strategy and objectives and drive down to key enabling factors such as systems and business process requirements
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project
